Brett Dorrian-

Brett approaches her craft on a far deeper level than just rendering looks.  She values the connection and collaborative spirit involved in creating carefully crafted makeup designs, incorporating the mode modern of techniques to fulfill the client’s needs.  She realizes the client’s visions through her interpretation during the consultation, and aspires to execute things in a way that is classic yet innovative.

As a high achiever and true artist, she understands and values the importance of advanced education and takes every opportunity for further training in her field to stay current on techniques and products.  She provides advanced training for all of the studio’s artists, and makes out-of-state training and trends accessible to her staff through her Minnesota-based studio.  It has always been a goal of hers to create a place where artists could work, learn, and grow in their careers.  She serves as a mentor and business coach to several artists, and provides professional certification in media makeup artistry, studio hairstyling, and character work for artists.

christyLAVELLEChristy Lavallee –

Christy’s career in makeup started in 1997, first as a business manager for Elizabeth Arden and then Estee Lauder, while also starting her part-time freelance artistry business. After several successful years, including one year where she was recognized for having the highest increase over goal in the nation, Christy left retail to concentrate on opportunities that would expand her knowledge and growth in business, with the ultimate goal of opening her own makeup studio in the future. Focusing on risk management and insurance, Christy earned a variety of designations in the field along with almost a decade of experience. By 2009 her freelance makeup artistry business had grown so much that she no longer had the time to work both jobs, and she left the risk management industry to focus on her makeup career full-time. Using the powerful combination of knowledge in business, sales, risk management, and cosmetics, she achieved her goal and opened her first studio in 2010, and has been growing both her business and team every year since, producing six-figures within just 3 years. With a strong focus on bridal, she currently leads a team of 7 talented artists providing both hair and makeup services throughout southern New England. Her business has been recognized with numerous awards every year since it was formed.
